About Me

Hello. I am Canberk Güzel, but I go by "Can" for short. I consider myself a versatile person with various interests ranging from technology and history to psychology and philosophyWriting is my primary passion; in fact, I am currently working on a neo-dystopian novel. Additionally, I enjoy traveling the world and exploring different cultures. To describe myself in a few keywords: I am creative, proactive, skeptical, dark-humored, and - as a typical INTP - admittedly a bit difficult. Deterministic chaos is my ultimate philosophy.

Though I was born in August, I am definitely an autumn person. I am 6 ft tall (183 cm), my lucky number is 13, and my favorite color is blue. My musical taste is eclectic, spanning classical, traditional, medieval folk, rock, metal, psychedelic and 70-80s Turkish vinyl recordsIn cinema and literature, a well-crafted script or plot is all I need to be hooked. I am proficient in English and a beginner in German and Russian.

After growing up in Istanbul, I attended middle school at TED Ankara College and high school at Milli Piyango Anatolian High School. I’ve earned several insignificant awards for science projects, art, and debate, and I have directed two amateur digital theater plays. I hold a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Bilkent University and an MBA from Middle East Technical University (METU). My engineering specializations include project management, marketing, brand building, business analysis, and operations research. My main engineering specializations are marketing, brand building, business analysis and operations research. After graduation, I started working as a foreign trade specialist at the Ministry of Economy (currently the Ministry of Trade). My duties included the execution and development of the electronic-based risk analysis system within the scope of product safety and commercial quality inspections in import and export, monitoring of product safety field practices in the automotive and electronics sector within the scope of harmonised the European Union legislation, and digital product safety and digital safety of products. From 2019 to 2023, I also participated as a delegate representing Turkey in the OECD Digital Security sessions and the United Nations WP.29 World Forum for Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations and related working groups. Since May 2023, I have been working as a commercial counsellor in the Turkish Consulate General in Batumi, Georgia.

If so destined - to be continued. May peace, science and justice be with you.
